How the FitKneesGuy Online Knee Rehab Program Works

Every client is assessed by a physiotherapist, gets a personalised plan with agreed milestones, and trains in live one-on-one video sessions. Here's exactly who you'll work with, what happens at each stage, and how your program is adjusted as you progress.

Who does what: physiotherapy, strength coaching and nutrition

Knee rehab works best when the right professional handles each part of it. These are the three roles on your team.

Physiotherapist

Assesses and leads your rehab

  • Takes your history and reviews surgery notes, scans and your doctor's advice
  • Assesses pain, swelling, range of motion, strength and movement
  • Designs your rehab plan and sets milestones
  • Guides the early, more sensitive stages (e.g. soon after surgery or during a pain flare-up)
  • Decides, using clear criteria, when you're ready to progress to the next phase
S&C Rehab Coach

Builds strength and gets you back to activity

  • Delivers your training in live sessions, within the plan your physio set
  • Progresses strength, balance, mobility and conditioning step by step
  • Prepares you for running, sport and everyday demands
  • Refers back to the physiotherapist if pain, swelling or new symptoms appear
Dietitian

Supports recovery and body weight

  • Personalised nutrition plan around your recovery goals
  • Helps you lose weight safely where that reduces knee load
  • Supports rebuilding muscle lost during injury or after surgery

Our strength & conditioning coaches are not physiotherapists and don't diagnose injuries. A physiotherapist hands you over to a coach once you meet defined clearance criteria, and stays involved if anything changes.

Your journey, step by step

  1. 1 on 1 Google Meet Consultation

A one-on-one Gmeet to understand your knee problem, your history and your goals, and to check whether online rehab suits you. If it doesn't, we'll tell you and suggest what to do instead.

  2. Detailed assessment with a physiotherapist

Over video, your physiotherapist reviews your medical history, surgery details and any scans or reports, then assesses pain, swelling, range of motion, strength and functional movements such as squatting, stairs and balance. Everything is recorded in your personal patient file.

  3. Personalised plan and milestones

Based on your assessment, your condition and your goals, we discuss your rehab plan and agree on clear milestones with you, for example walking without a limp, climbing stairs pain-free, or returning to running.

  4. Live one-on-one sessions

You train in live video sessions with your physiotherapist or coach, who watches your form, corrects technique and adjusts exercises in real time. Every session and exercise is logged so progress is tracked.

  5. Phase-by-phase progression

Your rehab moves through defined phases. You move to the next phase only when you meet that phase's clearance criteria (such as pain, swelling, range of motion and strength targets), not just because time has passed. When appropriate, your physiotherapist hands you over to an S&C coach for later-stage strength and return-to-activity work.

  6. Nutrition support

Where it helps your recovery, for weight loss or muscle gain, our nutritionist builds a nutrition plan alongside your training.

  7. Completion and ongoing support

At the end of your program, we review your milestones and give you a further course of action to keep your knees strong. After that, you continue to have WhatsApp support for lifetime where you can clear your doubts with us for free, if you have any.
